The sharing session of the “Beijing and Tianjin Tour ” youth exchange trip, lasting six days and five nights, and the “Hainan Agricultural & Technology Tour ” research trip, lasting five days and four nights, organised by the Centum Charitas Foundation (CCF) and sponsored by the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Committee, was successfully held on 17th May. Over 70 participants, guests, and staff attended the event. This session not only provided a platform for interaction and exchange among participants but also showcased our commitment to enhancing young people’s broadening horizons and strengthening their sense of national identity.
Attending the sharing session were Mr. Leung Yuk-wai JP, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Youth Development Committee; Ms. Yam, Social Work Officer (Youth Affairs) of the Social Welfare Department (Co-creation ‘Teen’ Programme); Mr. Kevin Orr, Vice President, Ms. Cora Chu, Secretary General; Ms. Patrica Leung, Chief Executive Officer of CCF and representatives from participating organisations. They listened to students’ experiences and insights from their visits to Beijing, Tianjin, Sanya, Wenchang, and Haikou, encouraging the students to broaden their perspectives. Ms. Yam, Mr. Kevin Orr and Ms. Cora Chu awarded the best presentation teams and honoured outstanding team members, expressing gratitude to all teams for their efforts in the preliminary presentations and recognising those most engaged and helpful during the exchange.
The students from the “Beijing and Tianjin Tour “ reported on the similarities and differences in education and lifestyle between Hong Kong and Beijing and Tianjin, while the students from the “Hainan Agricultural & Technology ” shared comparisons in education, lifestyle, and agricultural research technology between Hong Kong and Hainan. Subsequently, representatives of the exchange groups shared their insights and reflections from their interactions with Tsinghua University and Sanya Overseas Chinese High School. Light-hearted clips from the review brought laughter to the audience, highlighting the warmth and authenticity of team interactions.
For the above exchange tour, our foundation looks forward to the youth continuing to view China with an open perspective, bringing more opportunities for future development in their growth.
