【Centum Charitas Foundation’s “Huxiang Cultural Exchange” Youth Tour was held successfully 】
The “Huxiang Cultural Exchange” Youth Tour, organized by Centum Charitas Foundation and funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and Youth Development Commission, was successfully held from December 26 to 31. The six-day, five-night program involved 39 secondary school students and mentors from Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kwok Yat Wai College, Buddhist Mau Fung Memorial College, and members of the Strive and Rise Programme Alumni Association. The exchange group visited multiple sites of historical and cultural significance, including the Memorial Hall of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the Acceptance of the Japanese Surrender, the Flying Tigers Museum, the Longjin Wind and Rain Bridge, the Anjiang Agricultural School Hybrid Rice Memorial Park, Phoenix Ancient Town, Shibadong Village, 72 Wonder Towers, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuelu Academy, and the Yuan Longping Scientist Spirit Exhibition Hall at Hunan Agricultural University. These visits provided an in-depth understanding of China’s outstanding achievements in agricultural research, sparked participants’ keen interest in national history and Hunan culture, and further strengthened their sense of national identity and pride. Additionally, this event facilitated interaction and exchange between participants and students from Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County No. 2 Middle School and Huaihua Vocational and Technical College. It provided a valuable platform for young people to broaden their horizons, offering inspiration and rich rewards throughout the journey.
The third graduation ceremony of the “Strive and Rise Programme” was successfully held.
The “Strive and Rise Programme” (Third Cohort 2025) graduation ceremony was successfully held on December 28 at the Kai Tak Arts Centre. Nearly 4,000 graduating students completed a year-long intensive foundation program, nurturing their dreams with the support of government, businesses, and the community. At the ceremony, they showcased their hard work and expressed their gratitude to their teachers and friends. The ceremony was officiated by the Secretary for Administration, Chan Kwok Ki. Also present to witness the graduates were the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Mak Mei Kuen; the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Sun Yuk Han; the Acting Secretary for Education, Dr. Sze Chun Fai; the Director of Social Welfare, To Wing Hang; and the Acting Director of Home Affairs, Wong Yuen Yung. Chan Kwok Ki also extended special gratitude to the mentors for their outstanding contributions in nurturing the younger generation. They have accompanied the participants on their journey of growth, boosting their confidence, fostering a positive outlook on life, and helping them set clear goals for the future while striving to put them into practice. Approximately 400 mentors have participated in the program for three consecutive phases, with some continuing their support into the fourth phase. Mentors Chan Kam-ki and Chow Shuk-yee received the “Caring Mentor Award,” while mentor Chan Shuk-wai was honored with the “Mentor and Friend Award.” Additionally, Centum Charitas Foundation was honored to receive the “Strategic Partner Award” for the “Strive and Rise Programme” Third Cohort. This award recognizes the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to promoting the holistic development of youth and unlocking their potential. During the sharing session, participants discussed the Hainan exchange program featuring the “Food Journey in Qionghai” agricultural research trip organized by our association. They expressed that the activity proved highly beneficial and broadened their horizons. The Strive and Rise Programme, developed and implemented by an interdepartmental task force led by the Chief Secretary for Administration, focuses on supporting Secondary 1 to Secondary 4 students from disadvantaged families through collaboration among government, business, and community sectors. It comprises three key elements: “Mentor-Mentee Matching,” “Personal Development Planning,” and “Financial Support.” As the fourth phase of the programme is about to commence, our association is actively encouraging individuals to serve as mentors and providing activities for participants to engage in.
【CCF-“Huxiang Cultural Youth Exchange Journey“】A Briefing Session
The “Huxiang Cultural Youth Exchange Journey” held briefing on December 6th at Hong Kong Scout Association. Organized by Centum Charitas Foundation and funded by Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission of the HKSAR, the six day, five-night exchange journey will take place from 26 to 31 December, includes 48 participants, including secondary school students and alumni of the Strive and Rise Programme. The journey aims to deepen participants’ understanding of Huxiang culture through visits Zhangjiajie, the Hunan Provincial Museum, and the Memorial Hall of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. It seeks to enhance Hong Kong youth’s awareness of the nation’s wartime history and cultural identity while promoting and cooperation between young people from Hong Kong and Hunan. The trip will also provide insights into China’s agricultural technology and historical development. During the briefing, participants engaged actively in ice-breaking games, they built rapport quickly . Students and teachers paid close attention to the logistics and safety instructions, while the exchange journey leaders explained the requirements and topics for post-trip presentations to ensure thorough preparation. The session also featured a talk by Mr. Kwok Yat Ming, Advisor of the Centum Charitas Foundation, who discussed the relationship between“One Country, Two Systems,” the Basic Law, the National Security Law, and the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance. His presentation helped participants understand the interconnection of national laws and governance frameworks, strengthening their sense of national security and civic responsibility, and inspired them to become responsible and informed young citizens in the new era.

“Centum M2PT Mentor Workshop” Lesson 5 was successfully held on the afternoon of November 29th at Tung Wah Group of Hospitals – Tung Po. The topic focused on reviewing the “SCORE” communication method, exploring the three common barriers mentors often encounter when communicating with mentees , and sharing practical tips on how to inspire positive thinking among young people . Under the leadership of Rex ReAction founder Mr. Rex Wu, mentors engaged in a lively discussion on the topic “Why the ‘Quick Fix Culture’ damages interpersonal relationships.” They reflected on how the pursuit of speed has unconsciously influenced the way people communicate and solve problems. Mr. Wu pointed out that up to 70% of today’s youth feel it is difficult to communicate with their parents. To address this, he introduced the “6W Method”, encouraging mentors to empathize from the youth’s perspective, connect with their interests , and guide them in releasing stress. The mentorship program, which began in March, was successfully completed and graduation certificates were awarded ! All mentors left the session feeling enriched and more confident , looking forward to continuing their journey of growth alongside the mentees, and building a brighter future together.
Centum Charitas Foundation’s “AI Coding Education Project” – BMF & WDA Elder Academy – AI Elderly Coding Class (Forth Phase)
Centum Charitas Foundation’s “AI Coding Education Project” continues to support BMF & WDA Elder Academy – AI Elderly Coding Class (Forth Phase), it is held at the Buddhist Mau Fung Memorial College, starting from November 14, 2025, there were 6 consecutive classes on Friday afternoon for over 30 elderlies to learn basic artificial intelligence literacy and develop artificial intelligence applets. CCF fully sponsored the courses, and also the students to serve as teaching assistants, Inclusivity between young and old, helping the elderlies to learn AI & coding, they learnt very happily.

They also reinforced their use of the “SCORE” technique and reflected on how “speed” influences connections between people. Mr. Rex Wu also introduced the “6W Method”, guiding mentors to better understand their mentees’ needs, help them release negative emotions, and rediscover their personal direction . The mentorship program, which began in March, has been successfully completed, and graduation certificates were awarded! ! Every mentor gained valuable insights and inspiration.They are looking forward to applying what they have learned in real-life mentoring and continuing to grow alongside their mentees !!

“Centum M2PT Mentor Workshop” 2nd session held last Saturday, October 25th, at the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ Tung Po. The workshop focused on the “”SCORE” (Situation, Cause, Outcome, Resources & Effect) communication method, highlighting ideal steps and adapting to specific situations, allowing mentors to practice communicating with their students”. Over 20 mentors attended, Rex ReAction Founder Mr. Rex Wu provided guidance and engaged in interactive group discussions, benefiting greatly from the workshop.
“Strive and Rise” Company Visit —A Discovery Tour of Google’s Hong Kong Office
As a partner of the “Strive and Rise,” The Foundation organized a company visit to Google’s Hong Kong office on October 18 for mentors and mentees. Under the guidance and introduction of Google representative Kenneth, the participants gained a deeper understanding of Google’s corporate culture and explored the diverse facilities in the office. Particularly impressive was the evident care for employees reflected throughout the office—from the unlimited supply of snacks and beverages in the cafeteria to the table tennis tables and sleep pods in the rest areas—allowing employees to relax and interact at any time, sparking creativity through leisure. These details fully demonstrated the people-oriented culture of foreign enterprises, emphasizing employee well-being and work-life balance, giving the students a firsthand experience of a workplace atmosphere centered on freedom, innovation, and trust. Through this visit, the students not only witnessed a technological work environment but also gained deeper insights into the people-centric corporate spirit. The inspiration and ideas gained from this activity will undoubtedly transform into valuable motivation for their continuous growth and courageous pursuit of dreams.
The Future Leaders – Leadership and Design Thinking Workshop concluded successfully!
The Foundation, in collaboration with the “Strive and Rise” Alumni Club, held the “Future Leaders – Leadership and Design Thinking Workshop” on the afternoons of September 20, 27, and October 4 at Tung Po, San Po Kong. The nine-hour course taught leadership and design thinking to over 20 young people. This workshop was dedicated to cultivating participants’ leadership and design thinking, equipping them to become future pillars of society. This workshop, led by the founder of the Chief Happiness Officer Association, involved engaging in various activities and games, encouraging participants to understand themselves, break through barriers, unleash their potential, and cultivate teamwork, thereby enhancing their leadership and design thinking skills and strengthening their ability to become future leaders. Mr. Patrick Chan Ka Chun, Vice President of the Foundation, was on hand to deliver an encouraging speech and present certificates of completion to participants who completed the three-day course. All participants were fully engaged in the learning process, enjoying joyful afternoons filled with laughter. All of them learned in laughter and grew through interaction.

The Foundation, in collaboration with Education for Good and Rex ReAction, organized the “Centum M2PT Mentor Workshop”. The mentors gained with a deeper understanding of adolescent psychological development. By mastering appropriate communication methods with adolescents, they can empower participants to achieve program goals with greater confidence. Following three theoretical sessions, the fourth and fifth practical mastering sessions commenced. The first class was successfully held on the afternoon of September 20th at Tung Po, with over ten mentors in attendance. The workshop, chaired by Rex Wu, covered the “SCORE” (Situation, Cause, Outcome, Resources & Effect) communication method, ideal steps, and how to adapt flexibly to specific situations. This workshop allowed mentors to practice communicating with participants, integrating theory and practice. A real-life case study will be shared in the next class.
Future Leaders – Leadership and Design Thinking Workshop
Our Foundation has always been committed to nurturing young people to become pillars of society and future leaders. In line with this, we held the “Future Leaders – Leadership and Design Thinking Workshop” on the afternoon of September 20th at Tung Po, San Po Kong. This nine-hours workshop, taught by our Chief Happiness Officer, aimed to enhance participants’ leadership and design thinking skills, equipping them to reinforce the future leader skillsets. Upon completion, participants received a certificate of completion. The participants were very engaged that day, starting with the “In & Out of the Box experience” to identify themselves and unlock their potential to prepare for becoming future leaders.
【New Quality Productive Forces Internship Program 2025】Sharing Session
The 【New Quality Productive Forces Internship Program 2025】organized by Centum Charitas Foundation with funding support from Youth Development Commission by HKSAR Home and Youth Affairs Bureau Committee, supported by the Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Service Center, successfully held its sharing session on August 30 at the Hong Kong Scout Centre. The event was honored to have Mr. Lee, a member of the Youth Development Committee, and Mr. Tse, a director of the Centum Charitas Foundation, as guest speakers. Mr. Lee encouraged Hong Kong youth to actively participate in government-organized youth activities, emphasizing that these opportunities not only add vibrant experiences to their university careers but are also invaluable for broadening their horizons. Concurrently, Mr. Tse urged everyone to engage more with the Greater Bay Area, encouraging them to explore bravely and lay a solid foundation for their future careers. During the session, 12 interns delivered group presentations, divided into three groups. Their topics covered SWOT analysis of the workplace environments in Hong Kong and mainland China, career-oriented planning, and insights into employment and entrepreneurship. The content of the presentations was exceptionally rich and informative. First, the first group emphasized the career opportunities available on both sides of the border. They highlighted Hong Kong’s roles as a super-connector, an amplifier for the Greater Bay Area, and a builder of emerging centers. In contrast, they identified mainland China’s opportunities as being driven by the wave of technological innovation and the digital economy, the “engineer dividend” from industrial upgrading, and a fertile ground for entrepreneurship and internal innovation. Next, the second group shared that the Huizhou and Nansha Enterprise Visits not only broadened their horizons and deepened industry understanding but also yielded valuable insights into employment and entrepreneurship. These inspirations included policies and opportunities for starting a business, the importance of detail and craftsmanship, aligning with market demand, and the value of continuous learning and personal growth. Finally, the third group presented their individual short, medium, and long-term career plans. Their collective goals included becoming versatile professionals, pursuing a career in media operations, aiming to be marketing managers, and becoming veterinarians. Notably, one intern shared a profound shift in their professional perspective, stating, “A specialized degree is not a shackle to a career, but rather the cornerstone for its development.”
