Our “Mainland Internship Programme 2024” was successfully held from July to August, 2024.
We took our heartfelt gratitude to the generous supports of HKSAR Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and Youth Development Commission and The Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Service Center in Tianhe District, Guangzhou for the supports in the programme collaboration.
The 11 participants of this programme came from well-known tertiary institutions in Hong Kong and Mainland, including The University of Hong Kong, Jinan University and Nanjing University of Science & Technology. We assigned internship positions to the participants in reference with their study backgrounds and interests, and they had gained many fruitful experiences when working closely with the entrepreneurs. During the internship programme, we had arranged a few corporate visits and entrepreneur sharing sessions for our participants. They had visited Guangzhou Automobile Science and Technology Museum, which is one of the sub-companies of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Mingzhu Bay Planning Exhibition Hall and Chuangxiang Wan Incubation Centre in Nansha District, Guangzhou. More, they also visited the Lumina International Commercial Centre of Henderson (China) Land Group, and Sun Hung Kai Properties’ TOD project around Guangzhou South Railway Station.
The sharing session of “Mainland Internship Programme 2024” was held on August 16, 2024 at HKPC Building in Hong Kong. The participants divided into small groups and shared their gains in the internship programme, three key points concluded as below:
1, Build up good social manners and social network: the participants realized the importance of having a good interpersonal relationship and building a stable social network whatever they do in the future.
2, Widen your broad horizon and set up clear direction: the participants gained diversified information on career development through entrepreneurs of the internship programme, which helped the participants to develop their career plan.
3, Train up working skills and business experience: the participants were very proactive to face the job challenges with their hard work and courage, in return, they have learned solid and soft skills in workplace and it helps to reinforce their career development in future.
The participants also expressed strong thankfulness to our Foundation, who is very supportive for youth development, and they wish this internship programme could be continued to let more young people to participate in , in order to gain valuable business experiences and equipped their social abilities.
Our foundation have been organizing the Internship programme for more than six years, we have written many participants get gained from the programmes, including building up relevant networks and understanding the business trends. Our foundation will continue to hold this internship programme and support the career development of young people.
Lastly, we expressed our sincere gratitude to our committee member, Mr Oscar Chan Kwok Cheung, and Mr. Wong Yuen Fung, Secretary General of Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Service Center for attending the sharing session. Mr. Chan suggested that the participants could further explore and understand the cultures and management styles in business of different enterprises. Mr. Wong also stated Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Service Center will continue to support this internship programme. And Ms. Cora Chu Yuet-yue, Secretary General of our foundation, shared the “3H” wishes to our participants during the sharing session:
The first H – Hope: she encouraged the participants to be hopeful and thankful in life;
The second H – Health: she suggested the participants to maintain physical and mental health;
The third H – Happiness: she wished the participants being happy in study and work.
