The “G3 Alliance” comprising The Centum Charitas Foundation, The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, and The Hong Kong Laureate Forum, launches the 2nd “Young STEAM Talent Award”. The briefing session was held on 19 October, 2024, in the Lecture Hall 7 at The City University of Hong Kong. Over 100 students, parents, school teachers and “G3 Alliance” representatives attended the briefing, it was very exciting and successful.
During the briefing, the regulation and rules for The 2nd “Young STEAM Talent Award” and the “Grooming Initiative” were introduced. Furthermore, Professor Ray Cheung Chak-chung, Associate Provost (Digital Learning) at The City University of Hong Kong, shared his insights on the talent development and ways of empowering the young generation in embarking on the journey of innovation and technology. This aimed to enhance the understanding of future directions in innovation and technology among schools, students, and parents, equipping them with the knowledge to prepare for engagement. Lastly, the champion of “Young STEAM Talent Award”’, Poon Clarisse, shared her experiences from the competition and her insights into innovation and technology, inspiring other young students to develop their interest and potential in this field.
The categories for this year’s competition include:
1) Aerospace Technology, Physics and Mathematics;
2) Biology and Medical Science;
3) Chemistry and Environmental Science;
4) Engineering and Innovation;
5) Information Technology and Art Technology.
Students from Secondary 3 to 6 are welcome to participate!
